Paintbrush Roll

I was commissioned by one of my artsy friends to create a storage solution for his collection of paintbrushes. His current situation was a very sweet makeshift version of an artists roll, hand-sewn by his mum from an old pair of curtains.

We decided to incorporate 6 compartments varying in size, to hold both small and large brushes. The piece is sewn from 9oz unprimed artists canvas, which folds back on itself to give protection to the bristles and to avoid any paintbrushes sliding out the side. The leather strap was sourced online and I attached it to the fabric using a brass rivet, which made for a lovely fastening.

The size is 600w x 350h and holds approximately 40 paintbrushes in a variety of sizes.
